I have them. I got the newest offering of them(all white). FootJoy make narrow shoes though. I have a wide foot and got mine in 'Wide' but I still feel they are a bit narrow.
The Boa system has been around for a while though. I've had it on my wakeboard bindings and in snowboard boots. It works well.

I tried on about seven or eight pairs of shoes at Golftown and these things felt by far the worst of all of them. Of course that comes down to personal taste/feel but i truly hated how they felt on my foot and i really didnt think you could get them tight enough with that twist thing. Do yourself a favour and spend the same money on a far superior pair of Ecco's.

HAHA!! You just said "Of course that comes down to personal taste/feel.." then went on to say, "Do yourself a favour and spend the same money on a far superior pair of Ecco's."
You're kind of contradictiong yourself. LOL!
If you don't get the proper fit, the system is not going to work. They come in three different widths. You also have to go down a size at least in order to fit into them properly. I got a full size smaller because FootJoys are made bigger.
I've walked and taken a cart in these shoes and they are one of the better pairs of shoes I have worn. I also have the Tour 360's, Callaway XTT's form last year, and a pair of Ecco's.
Best thing to do is go try them on. Like you said earlier in your post, different people are going to prefer different things. I find it hard to judge a golf shoe by walking around in GT or any golf store. It's too bad we can't demo them.

One other thing to consider is that each company uses a different "last" in designing there shoes.
The shape of my foot does not agree with any FootJoy or Etonic models. It fits very well in Adidas and Eccos.
So basically, you've go to try them on.
