Gatineau Pitcher selected in MLB 1st Round
Seattle Mariners selected 18-year-old Phillippe Aumont, a native of Gatineau, Quebec (Ecole Du Versant) in the 1st round (11th overall pick) of todays Major League Baseball Draft.
Phillippe is 6'-7" and can hit 96 mph with some sinking movement on the ball.
He is the "Real Deal"!!! And with Agent Scott Boras representing him, will likely achieve $1.5 - $2.0 million signing bonus. Not bad for a kid who only started pitching 4 years ago after begging his Hull,Quebec midget coach to just give him a chance on the mound.

Also, nice post draft interview video feed on website."So many moving parts. Your whole body's moving, and this ball is not moving. It's standing still, laughing at you." Tiger Woods
