got it working ... not sure if it's just me, but when i visit it through ottawagolf.com/ladder it won't set the session properly, and altohugh login doesn't fail, i am not logged in (and as a result can't challenge) ... but if i enter via ladder.ottawagolf.com it works ...

I am the same thing Nat. But for the life of me, I can't find how to challenge anyone!

Figured it out....got my 5 up challenge entered.

I do not get the challenge option when I login Dan (althoug I can't even confirm that I am logged in.) Even if I do not login it allows me to do all the same things even if I enter my name and password.

Something tells me I am not logging in successfully!

Nope, it still won't log me in... I tried Indio, I tried 19 but nothing. It definitely isn't letting me log in though so I guess I am not validated yet. I can see all the players (including myself) but I can't challenge anyone but I see 2 people have already been challenged!

Question re: handicaps for this.......my RCGA cap is different than my OG cap (OG cap has been kept longer) so which one do I use??

If you are entering the same scores into both systems they should be the same once you have 20 rounds.

I also think we need one other rule concerning re-challenges. For example, with me being in the #1 spot for the time being, and only because of the draw, I could be challenged by someone, beat them and then be re-challenged by that person, which would not give some one else an opportunity to challenge the #1 position.

Also, there might need to be a ratio between challenges and accepted challenges. For example
, the #2 guy keeps challenging the #1 guy and never gets around to accepting challenges from lower placed people because he is always challenging up. That may need to be addressed at some point.

I only started using the RCGA system this year so it has 5 rounds in it. The OG one has my rounds from last year in addition to the 5 from this year.

I think it's the one that most people use on this site which is why it was listed first.

Since it uses the RCGA formula any legitimate RCGA handicap would be equivalent once the number of rounds are the same.

Fair enough, but until I hit 20, should I go with the one with the most rounds in it? There is a difference of almost 3 points on the two factors

Yes, it is preferred since we can look in and verify your handicap. The best scenario would be if players in this would all use thr RM system, but club members would have to do 2 entries so that may be too much to ask of them.
