The course was in good shape during the father and son on July 30th.. Greens were rolling good
Just beware of the Par 3 # 14. It plays no longer than 110 yards (posted around 130)

Played last week-end---the course has taken it's share of hot dry weather--just like everyone else. More drying on the fairways than the greens--sure hope this rain helps. Give them a call--I'm sure they'll be up front with you
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

Playing there tomorrow. Anybody have an update on this course from the last day or two? Tell me they haven't punched the greens!

FYI, after playing it today can report it's in good shape but the greens are rock hard and silly fast. defensive putting all day. 3 putts galore. I played Crowbush ealier this summer, right before Mike and Vijay were there and the greens were not this slick.

The "creek" is not noted for it's difficulty but we forgot to mention that the greens ARE hard and when they all tilt forward they are fast
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

The greens have always been tricky there. Best bet is to hit to the front of the green and run the ball up, British Open style!
Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Played there yesterday. The greens had been punched at some point in the last week, I guess, and had recovered pretty well - no big ball deflecting holes.

BUT... most of the greens were still significantly harder than I have ever seen them before - and I have played an average of 20-30 rounds a year there since 2002 or so. It seems that rain is what is most needed to get the greens to become a bit more receptive. The ponds would agree if asked! Heck, I tried to lay up on 9 (and I mean really lay up - I wanted to be 30 yards short) and ended up in the "creek". I walked over to the ball and sunk in about 4-5 inches but managed to play a pitching wedge out onto the BACK fringe and two putted to save par. That's the only positive spin I can come up with!

Come on... rain a bit before the weekend!!!

Played Mountain Creek yesterday. Wow those greens are hard. I hit full wedge shots into greens that didn't leave a mark...To be fair though I could get shots to hold on the greens. The release was way more than I am used to but still manageable...good time all in all and you can't beat the price. Birdied 18...which is my positive spin.

Played there on Wednesday, greens are recovering very well, and starting to become consistent again. They are still pretty hard, but they still hold well. Its a great deal for the money, and its only about a 3:20 round when its busy.
Slice, hook, or straight down the middle. It all looks the same on the score card.

Hit your aproach shots high--very high or low with a lot of backspin...... and they are fast All in all not bad conditions
    Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?
