August 17, 2001 -- KANATA, ON-Following an eighty-minute delay, the second round is back underway at the Eagle Creek Classic. Heavy rains and lightning caused the suspension until players resumed their rounds at 4:42 p.m.

Just one day after carding an 8-under par 64, Mark Slawter (Raleigh, NC) followed up with a 6-under par 66 earlier today to take the clubhouse lead at 14-under through two rounds of the Eagle Creek Classic.

Rich Massey of Harrington Park, NJ currently sits two shots back after tying the Eagle Creek course-record 63. Winnipeg's Todd Fanning is three strokes behind.
