Sorry Geoff...
.... but I'm gonna need alot of convincing as to why i shouldnt sell all my clubs right now! the way I've played the last 3 games i feel like tennis would be more suited for me... the racket has a bigger sweet spot.
shot 95 at Greensmere with John (Jordan)
86 at Edgewood
and i was 18 over after 9 holes with JVincent and MJF at StoneBridge... (ended up loosing 8 balls)
my ball striking has gone to down the drain, i cant sink a 4 footer if my life depended on it. and I'm aiming 40-50 yards left becuase of a slice that has only appeard the last 2 rounds that is REALLY surprising me....
the only half decent part of my game is my wedge play...
if I play like this at the Ryder Cup this weekend Jordan has to serious work to do in order to keep our team alive.....
u think instead of having me at a 9.8 cap you can make me a 20 cuz thats what im playing like...
anyways, just venting some frustrations...

I played like a complete donkey the other day too. Don't feel bad. Everyone gets in a slump once in a while.

Hey J-Man, even though this thread was titled towards me, looks like you got plenty of support.
I got plenty of faith in you man, I'm sure you'll bounce back just fine. You sound alot like me last year. You just have to relax and breathe dude. Forget all the bad shots, and take your head out of it. You need to get out and have a "fun" round buddy. No scores and no worries. Just hit the ball around and see what happens. Get laughing, have a good time and don't focus so much on scores.
Worked for me at the fall forum gathering. Thanks again Sakuraba and Moosehead."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

I know the feeling. I'm driving the ball great but have a case of the shanks and can't hit a GIR if my life depended on it.....my putting has bit pretty ordinary as well.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Hey Jarred, I haven't kept up on the thread about the competition you guys are in I believe in a couple or 3 weeks with the TO forum but sounds to me like you guys are getting choked up about it lol. Remember golf is a game better played when relaxed not tensed up. I know for me when I start playing horrible, if I get all uptight about it my game just keeps on sucking, but if I just say to hell with it and don't let it bother me the game usually turns around. It is very much a phsycological game. And if all else fails, just chill out with a few drinks....seemsto always help my game.

Like I said, the invite is out there. I've been a member at Mountain Creek the last two seasons. And I've had to change my game quite a bit to play at Edgewood. Where I'm used to flying the ball onto receptive greens, here I have to learn to run the ball up. Especially to smaller greens as well. And if its a skill you are not used to, it can be quite challenging to judge distance and run out. It's a much different game for sure. And playing at the Marshes I'm sure you're used to flying the ball a distance onto the green. It's a tough frame of mind to try to switch to. Believe me, I've learned my lesson the hard way a couple of times already this year. And it's not even high dry season yet there. It will be nice to have some more shots in the repetoire.

In reference to the "duster courses" remark I made in a previous post..Just thought I'd let you know I draw the line at Edgewood.
As for the poor play for myself....No worries JP...I crapped the bed once again today. I lost more balls today than I had in the previous 8 rounds.

haha... Keri i tried so hard to not let it bother me, so i went 2 holes without a care in the world, then a shank 5 iron on the par 3 and i sent my club sailing onto the tee box in front of us... but i got my putter back in the bag this week so hopefully ill be able to save myself on the greens...
playing 36 tomorrow at Hillsdale in montreal, Laurentien and Woodside. so we'll see what happens! If i loose another 6 balls you will see eveything i own up for sale in the classifieds... PM me for first dibs if you see anything you like in the little red bag icon
