I think 64 is rather high and think the tourney will be rushed. Just a thought. The 32 is a good number.

OK boys - That's it for me until late Sunday or Monday - I'm off to Toronto this weekend. Keep those registrations coming in...

I might be interested in this as I'm already in the NCGT match-play tourney.
1. Is there a cost to get in?
2. When is the draw?
I work alot on weekends but I'm fairly flexible. If you still need players, let me know.

I'm in. As defending champion, I get a bye into the 2nd round... right?

FYI, according to the criteria for slope and rating, as an example, Canadian must be played from the tips. Is this what everyone wants?

I hear you LBH. But I would like to throw my 2 cents in and suggest you have a look at a few "non-executive", "non-easy" courses and see what the equivalent to a white tee is and figure out what the slope and ratings minimum must be based on that.
You are going to have high handicappers like me playing in the match play, and playing from the tips is not really all that feasable for people like me. Regardless of handicap differential. Would you not agree?

Both players need to agree on the course. Just find a course that has tees with the minimum slope and yardage you both can agree on.

I am interested in playing, but do not have a handicap. I have started to get one through the one on this site. I have entered 3 rounds so far and will have a 4th this weekend. Would it be possible to join ?

5 rounds will give you a handicap with the system. Anything more than that will just make it more accurate as it will be averaged across more games.
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

What Colby said.
The other alternative is that if snaphooker doesn't get enough rounds in by the start date of the tournament he would play as scratch.

snaphooker: If you recall your scores from your last few rounds of last year (prior to Oct 31), or better yet if you still have the scorecards, you could enter those.

snaphooker: I'll count you in but please get 5 rounds in a handicap system before May 30th...

I put my last round of last year in (an 85 at Pineview) I remember the date because that is when we found out we had a shower leak and began 5 months of shower repair and bathroom work . My 5th round is scheduled for Sat morning, so I will have 5 by the weekend. If I get more rounds in before the first match and my handicap goes down, I will gladly use the lower one. Alternatively, if who I play has an issue with a handicap based on only 5 rounds, I would be willing to play off a percentage (say 75% ?) of what the handicap works out to. I don't care if I win, I just thought it would be fun to play some matches against new people.
