    Early Bird Tournament

Anyone who lives in or around St Thomas or London should plan on coming down to
St Thomas Golf & Country Club to catch some of the Early Bird.
This is a two day tournament featuring some of the Ontario, Michigan, Ohio etc best Amateur golfers.
Last years winner Jace Walker will be back to defend his title.
Moe Norman won this event in the past.
St Thomas Golf & Country Club is located in Union.
The tournament dates are MAY 19-20
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Make note of the date, it is usually held right around the same weekend every year. I know last year's event was, as I was in the hospital awaiting a by pass. It was cold and wet and it was the May 2-4 weekend.

Who are your friends? I might know them.

I was going to play in this until I broke my collarbone.... one of the biggest tournies around and one of the best amateur events as well. Plus, the course is amazing.

What flight would you have been in if you had played?

Very typical coverage by the London Free Press. They'll likely have the results in Thursdays paper. Next Thursday

I know Bill Seagris won the A Flight. He won this event in 2005.
Last years Champion Jace Walker, STG&CC finished tied for second with Jay Campbell from Westminster Trails. Two big hitters right there. I have played with Jay and watched Jace hit tee shots off the first tee at STG&CC. They both go deep

As for the other flights, I did not see the results. I was going to go down to the tournament on Sunday afternoon but spent some time with my wife instead
BROWNNIE POINTS are all important when you want to golf 150+ rounds a year

Bill Seagris is a real good player. He is from Nipigon, just outside of my hometown of Thunder Bay. He is one of those players that make you sick to watch, he looks like he is not swinging at all, but he hits the ball plenty long and very accurate. Have played with him many times.
