    Weight Shift

I was playing golf the other day and was making a few bad shots. Then I started to really transfer my weight to my back leg on the backswing and I started to hit the ball really well. How much percent of weight should be distributed to your right side(right handed golfer) on Driver shots, mid irons, wedges?

I would say approx 75%. But the more important thing is to keep the flex in your righ leg. This is your pivot and will allow your rotation to coil and not slide. As you move more to the short game there is a little less weight transfer since the lower body becomes less active in the swing.

    transfer..

every golfer is different, but for me, from the start of the swing to contact, i keep my weight perfectly balanced 50-50(atleast i try), then when i make contact i explode most of my weight(60-80%) to my front leg. Since I've been playing hockey since i was 5 years old, i find it very easy to transfer to the front quickly becuase you use the same technique for slapshots.

of course, this is for my driving, as the clubs get shorter, i keep more and more weight on back foot. For my wedges, i pretty much have both feet together in line with the ball and keep my weight there throught the swing, becuase its mostly my shoulders doing the work there.

thats basically it for me, hope it helps
