You talkin to me? I've said it a few times already these playoffs. I am glad that he is proving me wrong, and I hope he does it all the way to the Conn Smythe. If he keeps playing like this, he could very well do it. (I will say this, however...he has never played like this in the past....probably fuelled by all the Alfie haters like me....so in a way, I am the most important part of this playoff run ).

No no, I am not "ON BOARD" Bob, but I will admit the Sens look solid.
I could never jump off the Shark's Boat
If my team could not hoist the CUP then it might as well be a Canadian Team (And there is no danger of the Leafs hositing it for some time to come, so I am safe in that department )My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I'm a die hard Habs fan. Usually post in the Sportsnet furoms on a regular occasion. I've always rooted for the Sens aswell, unless they were playing the Habs of course but I also cheered for Calgary before the Lockout, Edmonton last year. We are Canadians it's our game we should always back the last of our teams in the playoffs, even if it would be the LEAFS LOL.

Point #2 in the story is well made, although I think it's a bit of an oversimplification to call Emery "average". I would say "solid" is the right term to use. He works very hard on his game, and is technically strong, with good reflexes, but he definitely does give up a lot of rebounds. That being said, when the Sens are winning he also gets great defensive support in clearing those rebounds away. That's where teams like the Sabres and Devils are different. They expect way too much from thier goalies, and are not as strong in their own zone as a result. When things break down in front of the net, there's usually an Ottawa player available to "clean up the garbage". Those are the kind of goals that win championships. Rebound control is a six man job, not one.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Awsome to see
With only 15 shots on Emery you know we were in their end all night.
And to think so far in 3 games they have had over 30 minutes in power plays time. I'd love to know how many shots Ottawa has compared to Buffalo on THEIR power play.I've spent most of my life golfing .... the rest I've just wasted"

So this is what it is like on the other side of the win-loss ledger in the playoffs. The Sens are shifting into top gear at the right time, folks. I still can't believe this...

We should send the Toronto Golf boys a copy of this thread so that they might experience a little reflected joy and glory, something that their team has been sorely lacking and unable to generate in the last number of years.

Can you imagine if they win tomorrow night? A sweep in the conference finals over Buffalo? I see 10 years of frustration and disappointment disappearing in a ball of craziness this town has not seen in a while.
