Senators-Sabers
And then there were two in the East. I for one am glad we get to play Buffalo. Time to get revenge on the punking we got last year.

i am looking forward to this series as well. Being in Hamilton now, its hard for me to make it up to Ottawa for a game, but i might be able to get to hsbc arena and represent Ottawa with my SENS jersey!!

Should be a fantastic series to watch. I for one am very glad we are not facing Lundqvist - he was playing some spectacular hockey.

The Sharks fan is also looking forward to this series. This is going to be a good fast paced series with some pretty goals scored.
I just hope it is the Sharks out of the west who meet the winner of the Sens/Sabres series. My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

First, we took care of the best player in the league.
Then, we took care of the best goalie in the league.
Now is the time to take care of the best team in the league.

Personally I'd love to see the Sens stick it up Pierre McGuire's honker by beating the Sabres... I'm sick of hearing McGuire prattle on about how fast the Sabres are and how the Sens lack team speed.
Another thing about McGuire that bugs me is his unwillingness to make any predictions in any series - at least while he's talking on local sports radio here - I guess he doesn't think we have the internet here in Ottawa, or cable tv for that matter - because he predicted Ottawa's demise against Pittsburgh on OTR with that pompous Landsberg oaf as well as their demise against NJ on NBC.www.chapeaunoirgolf.com

I am suprised McGuire made perdictions on NBC and OTR.. He said at the start of the playoffs on the team that he wasn't going to make perdictions this year after recieving death threats last year.

Yea, it surprised me too... I'll see if I can dig up the spots where he made his 'non-predition predictions'.

The Sabres just haven't been impressive in the playoffs. The only thing they have going for them is Miller at this point and I don,t think that is enough to take care of the Sens...... I predict Sens in 5 unless they break their jinx and win game 2, then they take the series in a sweep

I don't see Sens winning two in Buffalo so my prediction is Sens in 6

The Pens apparently had more jam than the Sens with the Roberts acquisition, and a very underrated backend. The Devils had superior goaltending and the best shutdown line in the league, along with the dynamic EGG line.
That, and the Sens couldn't match either teams 'footspeed'.

I predicted Sens in 4 in my pool. The main reason is the only person in front of me predicted Sens in 6. I've went with a bold prediction but feel that the Sens are much more complete then the Sabres. They shut down the most talented in the league, they dominated the best defensive team in the league.
This year they have done an amazing job at adjusting their game and dominating the opposition. That combined with the confidence they have, will be to much for Buffalo.

i am thinkin it will be great for Sens in 6. I get very nervous, however, when all the analysts pick a certain team, and they all seem to be picking Ottawa, although they do call it a Pick 'em series
