Filing Income Tax
Does anyone know if there is anyway to file using NETFILE without having purchased software? I don't want to submit my return on paper but I also hate the idea of paying for software to give the gov't my hard earned cash.
Is there any way to e-file for free?Al Gore didn't invent the internet, but he did invent global warming.

Try this...

I seem to remember seeing that one of the companies on the Netfile approved list offered a free web filing service.
Check the list of certified netfile providers to be sure.

Studiotax is freeware/donationware. I have used it for the past 2 years.

check out netfile.gc.ca and it lists the companies that you can use online to do your taxes then just send your info through netfile. I used quicktaxweb i think it's called, cost me 18 bucks and got my return in under ten days.
