Do I Have Bad Taste?
Ok so it was warm enough to this morning to wear shorts to the course.
So I get my new shorts out, my daughters wanted me to buy these at Old Navy.
I like these shorts. But one of my regular golf buddies had a comment about them, I can not repeat it here.
Do I have bad taste or does my buddy? As I said, I like these shorts! I wore a white shirt with them. Should have worn my light yellow shirt but it was in the laundry.
BTW, I also bought a pair of dark brown and dark blue shorts like these, also from Old Navy.
Maybe my buddy thinks I am too old to wear these shorts He is the same age, 51.
I just figure there is no accounting for poor taste and he has itMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

A guy has to make sure that he has the game to back up those shorts - personally I don't but from all accounts you may
Nothing wrong with the shorts though

Were they exactly as shown? If so, that's not too bad as madras shorts go.
I've seen much worse.

They are exactly as shown. Very comfortable to wear. C'mon guys if Old Navy is selling them then it's all good!
The pair I wore today are on the left.
As for game to back them up, at times yes, other times no!
I just happen to like bright colours. I was the first and only one to wear a pink golf shirt in my group. I was the first to wear a bright orange shirt. (No one has touched those two colours yet )
Hey Jarred, at least you have the same taste as I do!
As for you Indio, you sleep on a couch, how reliable can you be? If I come play golf with you I am wearing those shorts! My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Me too, I'm looking for plaid pants. The GF says no, but I don't care.

I showed her this thread and she said she could do some depending on her schedule. She can do pants or shorts.
She just mentioned "seersucker" as a potential fabric.

Given the make up of the Ryder Cup Team I would think that Beersucker would be more appropriate
Very cool though that your wife is willing to jump in with her expertise
I'm sure the next time that we need a policy written up on the post market surveillence of drugs in Canada my wife will be right there to lend a hand............

Nope, it's not like the puffy shirt.
Zoom in to the picture on the following shirt and you'll get an idea for what it looks like.

Probably not that specific one, but there is pant type material with the same texture.

I knew it, you dudes are starting to come around Yuo have to remember, I have a 22 and 19 year old daughter. They happened to be in Old Navy with my wife and I when I saw those shorts.
Now young girls have a different fashion sense than old farts like me. But they wanted me to buy them. So I did. They are not that "LOUD" really and if you ever tried a pair of those shorts on, no matter which colour you went with you would know why I like them.
As for pulling them up over my belly button AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN!
Hey I have a bright yellow Cobra Bag, not many guys would stroll the course with that either
Try H&M for some funky clothing, Europeon Store that came to Canada. If you want wild then check these two online stores.
FAIRWAY STYLES
SLIGO
GOLF KNICKERS
If you need any fashion advice just ask Rick "The Golfbum" Hackel
Like the Old Navy commercial says "GET YOUR FASH ON"
Here are some fine examples you can purchase. My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
