Anyone played the Oregon coast?

Reading the Golf Digest article on Oregon in February. Sounds IDEAL!!!!!!! Anyone ever golfed out there?

Sidenote: apparently real estate in Oregon is a great investment too and still affordable.

I think I posted a review of my trip to Bandon Dunes from when I went last year.

In a word, excellent golf destination. As golf resorts go, I'd actually have to rank it higher than Pinehurst.

What time of year did you go?

I went in March.

The one thing about Oregon is that that weather can be a crap shoot. We had two days of nice weather, one day of one/off rain, and one day of pouring rain. If you plan on going, bring your GoreTex.

I shoudl add, even with the rain, the courses were full every day.

We flew into Portland and drove. It's about a 4 hour drive and Eugene is half way which makes a good place to stop for dinner on the way there and back.

They say February is pretty dead, but very nice. Prices are better too. Now I just have to convince Mrs. Vantage to give me a one week pass.

I must be getting old. I just double checked when we went and it was actually the last 4 days of Feb. We flew back on March 1 which had me confused.

So yes, Feb can be nice.
