First night of the playoffs!
As I type this I am waiting for the 4th OT period between Dal and Van to start. Its been a pretty exciting night of hockey. A good start for sure. Can't wait for the other series to start later tonight.

I was quite happy with the first night of the playoffs. Sharks came back to win in OT after giving up a 2 goal lead. Big Joe was very dominating in the game, 2 A's. Bad news is CheeChoo could be out for awhile from the knee to knee hit (TSN, oh that was not intentional. Oh the Sharks are going to be very down on themselves after giving up that lead. Christ I thought I was listening to the actual NASHVILLE HOMERS)
I was happy to see the Sens tear apart Syd & Company. I did not watch any of that game, but in the highlights it appeared Syd might have been a wee bit frustrated at time.
3 more W's for the Sharks, then Geoff can eat some crow

It's really tough to see an important player go down with an injury, but that hit was not intentional, and I don't think it should have been a game misconduct. Hartnell's did not stick his legs out...they were under his shoulders. He was just going for a regular hit and Cheechoo took last minute evasive action, unfortunately leaving his leg extremely vulnerable. Again, you hate to see someone go down like that in the playoffs, but I certainly hope the NHL doesn't do anything stupid like suspend Hartnell for something that really wasn't his fault.
