California here I come..
just wanted to post my upcoming trip to California to play golf for a few days...Hopefully will pass on some nice pics for all to see...Playing La Costa, Aviera and
Torrey Pines...hope ny game holds out...Anyone else played these?

I've played Torrey Pines South. Very nice and very tough.
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, breaks towards the ocean. Do not forget this.
Whatever the native grass is that they use for rough there is very gnarly.

Oh yeah, one more thing I remembered, if you are going to miss a green, generally short is better than long. There are a bunch of holes where the back of the green has just a few yards before it falls off down a cliff.
Try and get a picture of the "Danger Rattlesnakes" signs that line the ravine.

thanks jv.....looking forward to the signs...Perhaps if my game goes south a snake will bite me and I'll be recharged......
