Leafs/Habs Sat Night!!
Apparently Huet will be starting in goal for the Habs. Good idea or not? They need at least a tie, and this guy hasn't played in a while whereas the rookie goalie has held the fort quite nicely.
Carboneau is taking a chance here, hope it doesn't backfire on him."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

This is gonna be one hell of a game , Can't wait , i'm not sure who i want to win (GO SENS GO) but if whoever wins , if they can take out the Sabres in the first round for us , that would be good!!!

Huet looked pretty good in the 3rd period thursday night. It is a flip of the coin. The leafs have won their last 8 at home. What a finish.

I think if the Habs are to make the playoffs, then Huet is their man. Got to get him in there. The Habs probably would have liked to get him playoff ready much earlier but better now than never.
I predict a shut out for Huet!"Get your smile on!"

I am a SHARKS FAN. I do not care who starts in goal for the HABS.
JUST WIN THE GAME PLEASSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
I do not want to see the LEAFS in the playoffs. For personal reasons. My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Can't the islanders still take 8th spot with a couple wins or a win and Habs loss?

Leafs must win in regulation. No OT or the Habs will get a point.
In any case, neither team deserves to be in the playoffs and whatever one makes it in won't last long in the first round.
The longshot is that NYI wins their two remaining games and neither the Habs nor the Leafs get in.Zeemine

Let's hope it is a good game. At least the entire season for these two teams won't be decided in a shootout.

Really hate it when the refs decide a game of that magnitude. And I'm not just saying that because I don't like the Leafs. They were victims of some really weak calls in the second, and the Habs fell victim to some bad ones in the third. You just hate to see a game like that be more about the refs than about the players.
And, as far as the players are concerned, I really hope NY wins tomorrow, because neither the Leafs nor the Habs deserve to make the playoffs after that terrible showing tonight.

The NHL got what they wanted there. It was great viewing for the casual viewer or, Non Leafs/Habs hockey fans. For once i could just sit back and enjoy the Leafs and Habs special teams go at it, it was most relaxing. Had it been the Sens in that game, I would have been pissed at the officiating, there must have been a lot of swearing and furniture breaking going on throughout Canada last night as the game swung backwards and forwards.

I must say I was at the ACC last night for my first Leafs game there and WOOHOOO! what a game. The Leafs could do no wrong in the first then did everything wrong in the second and the third well I must say it took a few years off my life for sure.PinShark

Neither team looked impressive enough to challenge Buffalo. First round losers, that's what we watched last night.

It looks like New Jersey is sitting Brodeur against the Islanders. I think Toronto will be out.
