Best Golf Tip you've received
Releasing the putter through impact with
the face rotating to the left (right
hand golfer).
This has help me tremendously with distance
and direction control. The tip is 'how to
determine if you're releasing the putter'.
Place two golf balls beside each other (about
a 1/4 inch between them). Place putter
behind them, and move putter forward till
balls are lined up(make sure there's still
a small space between them). Now make your
normal putting stroke for a 10-15 foot putt,
striking both golf balls centered on the putter.
Does the right hand ball shoot forward
faster, and go farther than the left one.
If not, you're not releasing the putter.
Give it a try

Hit the ball hard. Generate as much clubhead speed as you can while still being in balance.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

The best tip I ever heard was the old Arnold Palmer quote:
'You're not good enough to get mad. Enjoy the round.'

the best tip i have ever gotten was... Keep your head down until about 2secs after you hit the putt. I, along with many others, lift their head too early and that leads to inconsistent contact. I for one am always anxious to see the ball almost as soon as i hit it, especially on short putts. But i have learned to keep my head down, just that extra second and it has made a big difference for me.

I agee. The objective is to have fun, and part of the fun for me is trying out different things(I seem to be always working on my game).
Moe Norman says: "To play golf well, you need to be in a focused state of indifference."

From my dad....
"You're never going to make a living doing this so you may as well enjoy it!"I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Best tip ever came from the best golf movie ever - Caddyshack.......
The Character: Ty Webb
The Quote: "I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. All you have to do is get in touch with it. Stop thinking. Let things happen...and be...the ball."
That's all there is to it people, just BE THE BALL

Here's a sure way to add 20 yards to your drive. Hit the ball and back up 20 yards.

from my lady:
''i'm glad you get pissed about your swing once in awhile, that way i know you will work harder on your game and get better...example: so you had your personnal best 25 putts??? well, good, but next time out i want 23.''
not really a tip but a way to say always aim for more and you will progress.
