Rubber/rain boots with golf spikes?
I would have put this in the equipment section but there's nothing there for shoes - hopefully this isn't an inappropriate forum for this question.
Given my propensity to play golf in less than ideal conditions, I've been wondering if it would be possible to buy rubber boots with golf spikes (spikeless cleats, whatever). A quick online search hasn't yielded any interesting results.
While playing in a pair of $10 Canadian Tire rubber boots would keep my feet dry on those first couple rounds in two inches of water (a la Cedar Glen last year), I'm sure my feet and legs would be a little less than happy after slogging through 18 holes of carrying my bag.
Aside from buying $300 shoes that are guaranteed to be leak-proof, are there any other footwear solutions for our soggy golf days?

I think that's what I saw everyone wearing when I played in vancouver a few years back in February. We laughed at first, but then understood.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Don't laugh. The other day in downtown Ottawa I saw a courrier guy(you know the ones riding bikes that deliver small letters and envelopes when it's minus 40 after a snow storm) wearing grocery bags over his socks. Looks tacky but maybe worth a try. I sure wouldn't want to trade jobs with them

Hmmm...
Those who know me from the Slammer Tour wouldn't put it past me to try something like that. Somehow I think I'll pass, though. Might just have to break down and order from that website if nobody else knows of a retail outlet where I can buy them locally.

Rubber Boots
Rubber boots with spikes definitely exist, I think FJ may even make them, a buddy I play with has a pair. You might have to call a store on the West Coast to locate some as they are popular there where you can play year round.
