    Golftown exchange

Does anyone know if Golftown will exchange a set of irons if the plastic is off the grips but still has plastic on 5 of the remaining club heads? The irons where never hit.

I did exactly the same thing earlier this year. They gave me a credit minus a restocking fee for the irons I had. I was very happy with the deal. Took the credit of course and purchased more clubs.

    What is a re-stocking fee ??

I sure like the sound of it from a retailer's perspective!!

Although I am not familiar with GT's Re Stocking Fee (HELLO JARRED) it means they charge you to put the clubs back in the stock room. A percentage of what you paid for the items or a flat rate.
To me, this RE STOCKING FEE always seemed a bit bogus. After all how much labour is involved in putting a item back into the stock room that someone carried back into the store?

I actually gave back a King Cobra Speed series driver last year and I hadn't even bought the club there. It was in mint shape but I used it and it didn't work for me, so they gave me a credit for the full retail price without re-stocking fee.

Public Advocate Betsy Golfbum found that 44 percent of stores surveyed by her office charge restocking fees on returns. Despite consumer protection laws, twenty-seven percent of stores charge restocking fees without posting information about this additional cost.
