The thread was removed because the initial poster was the local tournament director pretending to be an enthusiastic supporter. That is contrary to forum rules.

I joined the Pittsburgh golf channel amateur tour and paid for the first 5 events. It was basically the only way to get to play with people with better abilities than myself. I just hope I don't run into any players that run down other peoples abilities cause I will be very uncomfortable with them, and it's still suppose to be fun right??? I don't know but I'm not getting any younger and it would be nice to get a little recognition for some of the abilities I have worked so hard to achieve.

If someone gives you grief in this tour, remind them EXACTLY which tour their playing in, and that it doesn't start with PGA. If they grief you because you're in the same tour, remind them that you understand why you are playing there, for the thrill of amateur competition and maybe ask them why they are playing? Jerks are a dime a dozen in any walk of life.
I'm interested in this GCA Tour and would like to look into cost/schedule as well. Last time I checked I don't think they had the sched up.
I've always been interested in testing my mettle against others in a tour like this and even if it's handicap related, you can only beat others if you beat yourself (your handicap).
Just my 2 cents,
Scott

some of the dates appear to have been set judging from TGC website. Looks like fun.

That looks very cool. $200 Tour fee + $75-$125 per tournament.
Strive for perfection, but never expect it!
