I played 4 rounds this year with my J33 Combos so I guess those are in the bag for now; however I can't wait to get out and play the Wishon 550 combos once I reshaft them with Accra steel shafts.. sooooooo perdy

I can't vote, but I love my 695MB's D5 X 100 soft tipped +1/2. These clubs get my attention everytime I swing them. If not, well you know blades let you know

Wow. I'm amazed at how many people play custom or what I'd call non OEM clubs. I had no idea they were that popular. KZG, Wishon...I've never even heard of these clubs. Mind you, until I started frequenting this site I was pretty in the dark about golf clubs. That being said, in the last 2 years I've gone from my original Goliath's to Pings, TM and Callaways and my handicap has only gone down about 4 points. I must really be doing something wrong. Maybe I'm just a terrible golfer. I guess it's time for some lessons. Or just play more.

I use Titleist 690mb's I love them, I have tried the new mizuno and taylormade blades and Iam sticking with the 690's for sure, I found that mine felt softer and I just love the weighting of the 690's over all the other blades that I have demo'd.

I did take 3 lessons a few years back. I couldn't hit the ball for a month afterward. Even when on the range working with the instructor I was having trouble making solid contact doing what he was saying. So after that I have never gone again. I'v been thinking about trying again. Where's a good place for lessons in the east end? Any recommendations?

If you are going to take lessons, be prepared for a 2 year comittment to do it right. Just taking a couple of lessons will only put your swing in no mans' land. For me, by the end of the first summer the changes started to come through and I was starting to be able to trust some of it on the course (5 lessons). I took 3 more the next year and by the end of that year it really started to become my regular trusted swing. Of course, last year I neglected to take some more lessons and more or less trashed my swing with my own fiddling!

Hmmm, Callaways with the lead. I thought Taylor Made's would be the top.

My Wilson Staff Tour Blades feel very lonely. Now I really feel like a relic. On the other hand, maybe it's simply the result of being a grizzled veteran, as my younger daughter's friend called me after repeatedly taking money from him on the course.

Had to comment on lessons, I've been lucky to work at 3 different golf courses. I talked to both the head and assistant head pro's at all of them. I got some lessons, but for me I studied the mechanics of the golf swing. Bob Toski's square to square method. I work on my swing everytime I'm at the range and work on my course management only when playing. Swings and swing type is a personal thing. Allen Doyle's swing, oldest rookie ever on the PGA, looks, well scary to me. What would an instructor tell him??? Maybe throw it all away and start over! Lee Trevino's ulta flat plane! Jimbo, how can you loop your hands like that and still get it square at the bottom? Mr. top 10 ten in the world! Would you change that? I guess the point here is, as long as you get it square at contact, down the target line with a accelerating swing, no matter the tempo, drive it straight, chip well, putt well, you can play good golf. Yes everybody like the newest, best? stuff. However, its a mind game with clubs. I'll never throw my 1986 Ping Eye 2's away, when needed I can pipe those things, me and Lumpy have that in common and the older I get are shapes are starting to look the same too..... Man I got to go on a diet. However working with blades makes you a more critical swinger, understanding what it takes to get that groove we all want.......

I play the old Golfsmith Tour Cavity, the same model played by Bruce Leitzky [sp].
My next set will either be KZG forged or Mizuno forged. I have both sets of heads,
but can't decide what to build next!
My youngest son plays RH'ed KZG forged Cavity Backs in high polish chrome.
My oldest son plays LH'ed Mizuno MP-30's and he will stick with these for 15 years.
He has a backup set of identical heads. When 1st set wears out he will play 2nd set.Kind regards, Harry

I can not vote again, but I now have a set of Cobra Forged CB's sitting in my bag awaiting spring to arrive!
However I will not squat down on the greens to read putts like Villegas. If I did that I would be like SIGN BOY and still be there an hour laterMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.
