Wilson wins Honda Classic
Mark Wilson's long wait is over. He's a PGA Tour winner. Wilson birdied the third playoff hole Monday to beat Jose Coceres and win the Honda Classic, his first tour victory in 111 starts.

It was great to see Wilson win and particularly because he is a single plane golfer.
What made the tournament enjoyable to watch, besides being in HD, was that the course was very difficult, putting a premium on driving accuracy and punishing those who missed the fairway, and overall shot making versus the "bomb and gouge" nonsense that we are used to seeing.
Wilson effectively won because of his brilliant putting throughout, not just the 72nd hole, inspite of the caddie blunder and the 2 shot penalty that he incurred in an earlier round.
Thank God Tiger was not around. We actually saw some real golfers play some emotionally charged golf. Too bad about Boo's short putt miss, but haven't we all been in this kind of spot before?

Was anyone else put to sleep by Charlie Wi's pre shot routine(s)? Can't imagine him being put on the clock, he would disintegrate.
Does anyone know exactly what was said to incurr the 2 shot penalty? All TGC says is "club information".

Wilson's caddy told another player what club Wilson used on one of the par 3's on Friday.

Wasn't there just a rules thing about this? If it is after everyone hit, no penalty. It would be interesting to see when he released that info.

Wilson was very good about it. He even said "I make lots of mistakes myself" so I doubt the caddy would have been sacked.

Looked to me like it would take a lot more then that to break those two apart. Their reaction after Wilson won was great! They had to hug each other twice they were so happy.
