Best PC Golf Game

Tiger Woods 2007 - hands down the BEST golf game available IMO

Since they abandoned Links after the 2003 version. TW is the only curently supported golf game for PC that I am aware of.

Links WAS the best golf game out there............I still play Links 2003 regularly

I started playing that game way back in the day of Links 386...........

Me too, I wish they had not dropped it. I have not played TW 2007 so I could not comment on which is now best.

I only said TW because, as you noted, it is the only one around these days. I still have about 12 Zip Disks full of the very best User Designed courses for links........what a great game and a classic example of how a small company can't hope to play with the Big Boys when the Big Boys decide that they don't want you playing

The Links franchise was owned by Microsoft (they bought it from Access). Tiger Woods golf is Electronic Arts. I'd have said that MS was the "big boy" there.
However...
In 2003 Links was definately the better of the two, but guess who's picture was on the box of the one that won out....

I was talking about the access days.........as I recall things MS bought the Links franchise because they wanted a golf game for the XBox but when the XBox version of Links couldn't compete with TW they nixed the whole thing.
