Shaft weight, swing speed & MOI

I have been looking at getting a backup to my 905R 757 S. I was thinking of going to a lighter shaft in a different head. I've hit a few and I'm starting to think maybe heavier is better, even heavier then my 757! My SS is 112 -116 fast tempo, I love to load it hard at the bottom. Just don't know how to be smooth........ Maybe just a steel shaft, my irons 695MB fitted with X100 DG SL's. I read that the MOI isn't much different across the range of new drivers, so the look and feel in your hands and at impact, is as important as anything I guess? Just looking for your guys experience and thoughts. Thanks much, Ghud Thanks GJ for your response on the J33R I'm thinking that way.

Don't think you can go wrong with a J33R. Very nice, solid feeling head. Good luck in your search. And if you want performance/bang for you buck a shaft like the Graman is a good choice. SK Fiber and Mercury shafts as well are real good performers that won't break the bank.

I'm wondering are all J33R's created equal? They can be had all over the place, new and used different prices. And to keep it on topic, if the 420cc creates approximately the same MOI maybe the same performance can be had even cheaper? I'm hoping someone has tried both combo's with the same shaft and can comment on at least the BSG setup. Or any other combo, pre 460cc and post 460cc same maker same shaft, results anyone?
