Trip Review: Orlando Area
Just got back, and I'm itching to return! I've decided that I'm going to organize a boys only trip soon for those that love golf, beer, poker and sports. What a great area! Having your own private heated pool is amazing. Renting a vacation home is the best way to go. Inexpensive, four bedrooms, 1700 sq. ft. bungalow with everything including a washer/dryer (never realized how handy that is for a two week vacation), I just loved it. The golf was amazing, and I even took a one hour short game lesson which gave immediate results. Southern Dunes is the best course I've ever played, even though the bermuda on the greens is dormant so it was like putting on a sheet of ice (I can count my one putts with my 8 fingers). Travelling with my clubs was much less stressful then I thought it would be, Westjet is great with them. And to actually be able to shop in an Edwin Watts, wow. Got me some Ecco shoes, a couple of shirts, an awesome TM divot tool, some Oakley glasses. Man, I want to go back!!!!! Only bad part was that our bed was horrible, had to take some Advil in the mornings for the old back.

Glad to hear you had a great trip--yep you hit the nail on the head with the dormant grass---it sure makes a difference. We leave Saturday for 5 weeks-hopefully Le Sorcier will be open when we get back----- Dont I wish--well Mapleview maybe.
Does the 2nd hole-n-one come easier ?

I recommend Southern Dunes, Falcons Fire and Orange County National.

Wow, I've never met a gal like that! If you don't mind hanging out with the boys, you're more then welcome!

My buddy just played at Reunion, on the GINN course (I think that's it). Said it was awesome.Donny Vantage NFL Guru, since 1974

Do you have a link for the place you rented?

I don't unfortunately, as my mother-in-law is the one who rented it. If you do a search for 'vacation home' and southern dunes, you'll see some. You can't go wrong anywhere really, but stay on a golf course. Walking to the club house was quite convenient.
