Here I thought I was doing good by buying a nice bike to ride on the streets of St T with I bought one last summer after my by pass so I could pedal my bum around and get some exercise.
Something about hurtling down hills with hardly any brakes doesn't appeal to me.
I like a nice ride around Lake Margaret
I have some Amateur Radio equipment here, but I am not as active on the air as I used to be. I have talked to people in many countries, all of Canada, every state in USA. Met some nice people through this hobby. Maybe I will get back into it more once I retire.
BTW my Ham Radio callsign is VE3FMC. I chose that call because I work for Ford Motor Company.
Maybe I should get a new call after May 1. VE3NIR, Now I'm RetiredMy opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I brew beer on my time off. Not from kits mind you but all grain. Got about 250 lbs of grain, 10 lbs of hops and specialty yeast. Have my own draft system (nothing fancy) and can have about 20 gallons in kegs and another 10-15 gallons coniditioning in fermentors.

Geez, vintage rolex watches from the 50's and 60's sounds pretty tame compared to y'all. Oh well...if anyone is interested in purchasing and needs some helpful advice, I have a pretty good idea of what is out there. At least part of my hobby is always on my wrist.

Atomic I'm looking for a White Gold Rolex Daytona. where do i get a good price on one? and no its not for me... $25k for a watch is a little steep for me right now. i heard something about a 3 year waiting list for it? is that true?

I don't understand why people spend so much on new rolex watches. The new Cellini Princes are going for 13k plus tax, but you can buy the original from the 30's, beautiful, runs, doesn't look like a brick on your wrist, and you'll only pay 8k. The new Daytonas cost 10-25k, you can buy the original Paul Newman Valjoux 72 movement for around 25k and it will keep time forever.
The most that I would spend on a watch is probably way out of line with most people, but then again, watches are something that you can flip for a modest profit if you wear them for a couple of years.

For years now, I have seem numerous vehicles (cars) with plates that begin with VE3 ...
For years now, I have been trying to figure out what those three characters meant...
It is just one of those little tid bits of useless information which has troubled me for me years. Can you tell me what they mean?

Every country has different callsigns. Canadian callsigns start with VE or VA. The VA calls were added when all of the VE call sign combinations were used.
Each province has a different number in the callsign. #3 is Ontario.
So now you know If you Google Amateur Radio Callsigns you should come up with the lists for the entire world.
BTW our VE licence plates cost us $25. We catch a break because we are capable of handling emergency traffic.
