Sure hope it's turning for the good. I just got off the golf course with the temp about 27C and hope I don't have to wait too long to get out playing there when I get back at the end of the week. Florida has been great with only a couple of raining days and two short frost delays.

Also, I'm going to be in Myrtle in 2 weeks, so I really could care less. When was the last time that it was snowing in mid April?
C'mon spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

16 degrees on Thursday with showers. That should put an end to the snow and this cold front. Let the golf begin.

That's awesome. I wonder if any course will quickly be able to open this weekend. Friday to dry up, then open Sat?

the golf season cannot be that far off....especially since most of the snow is gone from last weeks melt. If this holds true, I think we can expect something to be open next week.

FRI 6°C
SAT 10°C
SUN 14°C

The long term forecast has the temp at +20 for the 30th!I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

My Wednesday golf league starts practice rounds the last week of this month. Woo Woo it's getting close and I can't wait to try out that new one plane swing.

ironmaster,
How has the weather been down in that area and/or Akron the first weekend in April historically? Are most courses open?It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

.....I checked the average temps for April 3rd for the last 3 years and it was highs of 58 degrees F. with lows of 36 F. but the swings are quite substantial, the individual yearly highs were 70,42 and 54 F. All of the courses are open by then, heck most of them don't ever close, at least not all winter, they'll open up any nicer day(s).

Don't hate me but It's suppose to be in the 60's at least till Sunday, 50 today and 52 tomorrow, thurs on there's going to be a lot of happy golfers down here even with some showers in the forcast. I don't play outside this time of year cause if it turns cold again I'll be depressed, I'll wait till the league starts at the end of the month. I'll still be practicing at the dome 3 or 4 times a week though.

Cool. I'm tentatively planning a mini road trip for Easter weekend. Firestone in Akron, Treesdale and Diamond Run just outside Pittsburgh, Glenmoor in Canton, Quail Hollow in Painsville (Cleveland), and Silver Lake Country Club in Silver Lake, OH are all candidates...

.....Firestone is a nice lay out, chances are you'll be playing the North course, lots of water, short par fives but with some almost island greens. Great practice area also, so get there early. Diamond run had the fastest greens I've ever played on barr none, but again very short par 5's. Many very nice courses around Canton, but if your a steak lover you have to visit Baker's 33 right off of 77 south of Canton, best steaks I've ever tasted.

I've played the North and the West course at Firestone before, but none of the others. Thanks for the food tip, that's always helpful
