Accenture Match Play Pool

I've set up an Accenture Match Play pool over on the NCGT site. The players will be finalized Monday, and entries can be made starting Tuesday. Full rules are on the page.

OK, this is up and running. See the first post in this thread for the link.

Here are the rules:

This is an Accenture Match Play Pool. The rules are pretty simple. All registered members of the NCGT web site are eligible to play. The rules are as follows:

All participants must register their picks before 8:00am Eastern on February 21th to get your picks in. DO NOT EMAIL your picks in.
Each person entering will choose 16 players from the 64 playing in the tournament.
Scoring is as follows:

Each time a selected player wins a match all entries that have selected that team receive points. The number of points received is based on the Round and player Seed.

Round 1 = 2 pts
Round 2 = 4 pts
Round 3 = 6 pts
Round 4 = 8 pts
Round 5 = 10 pts
Round 6 = 12 pts

In addition an entry will receive additional points equal to the player's seed number.

For example
A #1 seed winning a 2nd round game will receive 5 pts.
A #4 seed winning a 3rd round game will receive 10 pts.
Oh yeah. Only one entry per person. If you decide to create multiple user ids in order to try and win, you will be disqualified. This is for fun.

The pool is free and the only thing you can win is bragging rights and a box of golf balls, the winner to choose (local winner only as I'm not paying for shipping)

Of the 16 I picked all is well save for Els, who disappeared without a whimper. When will I learn that he is just too nice a guy for match play. He should be more like No Back.

Luckily, I did not pick the Big Easy in the Ottawa Golf Fantasy Pool. My seven picks there were all successful. My fingers are crossed.

At least the golf has been good, I forgot how fun this tournament was to watch.

well unfortunately i seem to remember the same thing happened to me with March Madness last year. I was leading after the first round, then ending up close to dead last at the end!! lets hope it does not repeat
