    Golf and Global Warming

Very interesting article on how global warming will drastically extend the golf season in Canada. Hopefully some of us will still be around to enjoy the extended seasons.

Here are some of the significant points in the report.

    - The average number of rounds played was projected to increase between 5.5% and 13.5% by the 2020s. In hard numbers, that means up to 5 million more rounds per year.

    - In the 2050s, the projected increase in rounds played is even more pronounced, ranging from 7.7% to 23.7%. It's all due to warmer weather early and late in the golf season.

    - The golf season will be up to 7 weeks longer within 13 years and as much as 12 weeks longer by the mid 2050s.

    - And in the 2080s, the golf season in southern Ontario could be year-round.

By then all the golf courses on both coasts will be under water, so they better get building to get ahead of the rush

13.5% increase in rounds played? Hmmmmmmmmm that means I will be up around 188-190 rounds per season. Yeah, that will be about right. For this year

    I AM A GOLF

It is going to get even better starting this year!
My wife wonders why I need 3 new pair of golf shoes to start the season

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am not feeling too much of that so called Global Warming right now. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it is cold enough to freeze the nuts off a bridge.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

No they won't - check out the Archimedes Principal. The scare tactic that oceans will rise is nothing more than that - a scare tactic. The oceans have not gone up more than a millimetre or something like that in decades.

So Pebble Beach and Crowbush should be safe - bring on the longer golf season!!
