Canadian Tour struggles on
The bold face names that indicate Canadian players in PGA Tour results won't be as numerous this year with Mike Weir, Stephen Ames and Jim Rutledge the only ones holding full-time cards.

Here's an interesting bit:
After adding a Tour Championship in 2006, the new ATB Financial Championship will be played in Calgary this year and an Ottawa event is in the works. Events to be played in 2008 are being discussed for Saskatchewan, likely at Saskatoon's Dakota Dunes, and in Western Ontario.
An Ottawa event in the works...It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

An Ottawa event would be great.. It was a shame when Eagle Creek canned the Canadian Tour Championship.. There are several courses in town that could hold a Canadian Tour Event.

I've heard rumours of Camelot, but I'm sure that Matthews would love to get the Marshes involved. Then again if ClubLink picks up Eagle Creek, a Canadian tour event would make sense there, they have big pockets, lots of sponsor friends and it would fit nicely with the Canadian Open being played at Glen Abbey.

I would bet Matthews would try pretty hard to get it at the Marshes.. He seems to be trying to land bigger tournies.. What ever happened to all the talk about a European Tour even comming to the Marshes??
I know the Hunt probably doesn't have the lenght but I would love to see a Canadian Tour event there..Proud Member BigJohnnys Ryder Cup Team '08

Discussion points to the marshes but no course has been selected as of yet.

My money's on Camelot.
When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.
