    Which Scotty?

Ok boys, I am going to ask for your expert opinions here. Since I am not a Scotty Fan (I have nothing against them, just never bothered with them) I would like to ask this question.

If I was going to purchase a Scotty and wanted it to be similiar to my YES TRACY II which model would I look for?

Simple question, and I expect someone with vast knowledge of Scotty's should be able to answer it.

I am just curious, I am not in the market for one!
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

My guess would be the Newport 2.5. It has a similar neck;however the Newport Mid Slant is closer in shape to the Tracy II head.
Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Def. agree with Saint. But if you like the round bumpers you would want a Newport 1.5 also a Santa Fa would be great but they are harder to come by..

This first link is a Studio Stainless 1.5

Here is a Santa Fa TeI3.. from 2000. To my knowledge that is the last year they made a OTR Santa Fa..

agreed... or maybe just a Newport, if you wanted the longer neck just like the tracy II, then it would probably be a Newport Mid Slant (see pic of my PP newport mid slant below) or the Santa Fe TeI3 (SWEET!) like Lance said

Here's a pic of the Tracy II Rick is using:

His best bet for a Scotty to be similar in shape to appease his eyes would be either of these two:

    A Newport 1.5 or:

A Newport 2.5, both previously mentioned by Lance. I'm sure the hosel configuration plays a huge part in looks and confidence at address so not sure if going to the Newport or Mid slant is what Rick is looking for.

I wasn't actually recommending the Studio Style series, just the actual putter model.

Hey GB, if you hang out in this thread long enough, the answer becomes

No Sir, I do not operate that way! First off, I am quite pleased with my TracyII. I have no plans to replace it right away.

I basically wanted to know what model would come close to replacing it. Geoff showed me the ones in his post./

Nothing personal against Scotty owners, but I sure can not justify spending anymore than $200 on a new putter. Unless that Scotty is custom fit for me by Scotty himself. Maybe then!

Remember boys, I am retiring in May, you could pool your cash and buy me one for a retirement gift

    Thanks for the input.
