PGA Show, Day 1, Table Rock Golf Club
I quickly visited the Table Rock Golf booth, well 5 times now and not so quickly at all. They’re a small golf course in Ohio run by the Butler family and they’re also one of three North American distributors of Scotty Cameron tour putters and merchandise (Rand Pallis and Dalton Daves being the other two). They have a putter wall in their booth that is just incredible. Tour putters, classics, LEs, prototypes and victory models. Cami and Co’s, GSS Newports and Circas, SSS, 009s in every tour finish, the list goes on. The one thing I hoped to see but which they didn’t have was a lefty 009. March is when they come out so save up some cash, Nat.
Here are some photos I took. First, the putter wall:
And the headcover rack:
And the autographed major winners case:
Here are some pics of the new Newport Detour, including one of the orange studio grips. Both will be available in the summer.
Here’s a prototype of the Circa 6 which is replacing the Circa 5 in this year’s line up. This one is in pro platinum, but all the Circa’s are going to be done in a charcoal mist finish that’s much more durable than the current gun blue. This putter is obviously ‘inspired’ by the Ping B60. Summer release again I was told.
Now, some funky stuff. This is a putter sculpture that Scotty welded together from a bunch of rejected Newport Stainless Prototype heads. He calls it ‘Lost Souls’.
And finally this is a pic of the cash covers that Geoff covets, as well as an Alligator Bag Tag that I figure Lance would be all over.

Yeah, I don't covet them so much now seeing how expensive they are.
But still, all very cool pics. And the jealousy grows."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08

It'd be a pretty heavy change purse if you were only spending coins. The two prototypes I posted the pictures of are $2K each. It goes UP from there as they're essentially production models. A lot of money on that rack, and the putters are litterally flying off of it. TR has a huge binder that they keep the COAs in that must be 4 inches think.

Everything's for sale! I bought a new Hawaii tshirt and an orange hat. No lefty putters though, so I'm safe from the big stuff. They have some normal bag tags and ball markers for the studio shop price in addition to all the t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, hats and polos made in the past 2 or 3 years.

The "B" Back looks nice.
Lance, the protos in the glass case will probably go for $10,000 to $20,000 apiece. They're all super-limitaed editions or one-offs.
Oops, just noticed the case is the "Major Winners" editions. I'd say starting at $20,000 each. When applying the Rules, you follow them line by line. You don't read between them.

Uhhhh... I talked to them for you and they said they'd be happy to throw one in if you buy the putter.
They said early summer, Juneish. I'm sure we'll hear soon on TCC. The putter is exactly like the Detour in terms of the insert, it's aluminum and all part of the back piece. I think people have a love and hate thing with the aluminum face, either you'll really love it, or you'll really hate it. I can't wait for the new Circa finish, I'll definitely pick one of those up.

Just got to see the post... Man you must be wishing you had picked up some more stuff.
I would have a hard time walking away without something big..
You only live once....
If there a chance to pick up a cool ball marker get it for me and I'll settle with you later...Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

Hey Donny, this is OT but did you get your Odyssey protos yet? I got to putt a few with them today (rh of course) and they are great looking and great rolling putters.
If you haven't received them yet, you're in for a treat when they do show up.

Hey Spackler,
Saw your pic of the leather SC cash covers. Are they asking $200? I can't quite make out the price. If they are, any chance that I could convince you to pick one up for me? Prefer the one in brownish red. Definitely settle up (and a little more) when you get home. (I figured that they are pretty light and small...unlike that victory putter display.)

WOW thanks for the pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have never seen that alligator bag tag before, IMO it's ugly, but it might be worth a purchase and flip if it is new... I know they sold the Circle T tags for almost nothing long before the official production of them, and they were flipping for BIG $$.NCGT Ryder Cup Team Green (06,07,08)
