What I think is really kewl is the fact that Mike Weir is not goign to be there................. giving his spot to another Canuck. Now if Legatt can do what Mike did, and jump start his winning ways like Weir did, we would have another upcomming contender.

Did Weir give his spot to another canuck? I thought I read somewhere he had been left out of the event and the organizers invited Legget because he had a good year last year and Mike seemed in decline. The result was he was a little peeved at that decision. If so, he may have declined when the organizers came crawling after he won the Matsers and they had to "settle" for Singh.

I dont know who was originallly invited. But I hope it was Legatt just to spread it around. Look what it has done for Weir. Hope it does the same for him.

Since this Skins Game is always held on to Canadian grounds, they could have invited both Weir and Leggat...

I'd even go for a Canada vs The World skins game if they would dare go that way... This could help raise interest even more in the Skins Games especially if the Canadians would beat the international and/or American golfers...

I'm disappointed with that field. No Weir and no Couples, that's a double whaamy (sp?).
Singh and Leggatt are nothing too exciting to watch.

Agreed. Singh and Leggatt do not make for a wonderful foursome by any means. I'm glad to see a Canadian in the field but where's Couples?

Weir isn't there because at the time they were pulling the field together, Leggat was coming off a much better season than Weir - I even remember some glooming and dooming about whether Weir would ever come back, and how Leggat had to be in the field because he was playing better than Weir. Of course, that was before Weir won a coupld of regular tour events and some limited field event in the middle of nowhere in Georgia.
