FS Ben Curtis British Open Victory LE 1/283
Hi Guys,
I have in my possession, the prettiest SC putter that I have ever seen!
Ben Curtis 2003 British Open Victory putter.
The putter was limited to 283 units, or Ben's winning score. The putter is unbelievably beautiful. The milling on the face, back of the putter and even on the neck is PERFECT! The brightness of the paintfill and high shine of the putter is flawless! The grip is still in its original plastic, and shaftband is correct and mint.
The club comes with the equally rare headcover. There is one thread loose, as seen in the picture. I know that I am being extremely picky, but want to be as up front as possible with such a premium putter.
Now, you may ask yourself, what is a putter like this worth? Doing a bit of research on cameroncollector.com and ebay, I get a range of $1200 US on the higher side, and $1000 US on the low end. Using an average of $1100 US, and 20% conversion (still tons better than paypal), adding taxes and insured shipping, it would cost over $1550 Cdn to land this beauty.
$1000 Cdn. PM if you are interested.Last edited by atomic; 04-18-2007 at 09:49 AM. Reason: Big Price Drop

Not even a "hey nice putter, can't afford it with the holiday bills flowing in..."
Oh well

It looks nice, but I have to admit I am wondering about the fuzzy image of the face where you can't see the number XXX of 283. Looks kinda strange IMO, but you may have a reason for obscuring the edition number that I am unaware of. Perhaps an explanation would help interest. I know it made me wonder.
Sharply focused pics would go a long way in generating interest in a $1400 putter.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Hi Dan,
I blocked out the specific number so that people won't use the pic, claim the putter was stolen, quote the number and file bogus reports. Not to suggest that anyone would do that on OG, but access to these posts is global. Just trying to cover my ***** a little.
Sorry if the pic is fuzzy. It is next to impossible to get the face because of the reflection from the high shine. Needless to say, I was hoping that someone in the OG community, (in Ottawa) would want the putter. That way, they could inspect personally prior to purchase.
Trust me, the putter is absolutely flawless. Believe me, I looked long and hard to spot any imperfections!

Anyway, I have no intent to thread crap, those 2 things jumped out at me when I first saw your ad, so when you asked why so little interest I thought I'd mention it.Life dinnae come wit gimmies so yuv got nae chance o' gitt'n any from me.

Yeah, instead of whiting out the area, just putting a watermark with your user name ("atomic @ OG") over the putter (very transparent). That would go a long way to discouraging people from using your pictures to make fraudulent listings on ebay or forums like TCC.
Just a suggestion.Let's put a Smile on that Face!

Man o' man, that is one sweet putter. Wish I had the coin. Would be a fantastic collector item. Good luck with your sale.

Any takers?

Great putter at a nice price. In case anyone is curious, Scotty has said never again to victory putters after the Mickleson fiasco in 05. This headcover is worth a good chunk all by itself.

Price drop to $1150. This is what I can get on trade in value on my soon to be putter. Putters like this don't come up every day. Scotty isn't making any more of these Major Victory Commerative putters anymore!

What happened with the mickleson fiasco ?

Mickleson won the 05 Masters as a Titleist staffer with a Cameron tour napa. Scotty was going to do a victory putter, got everything tooled up, and Mickleson ditched Titleist for Callaway. The ACVII, especially the 205 lefty putters, is essentially the Mickleson 05 Masters victory putter.

Well, took him a while to put this one into production since Mickelson won the Masters in April and switched to Callaway a week or two before the Ryder cup (September).....a proof that SC isn't always associated with success...Detour...Futura Long...

But, as goofy as the detour looks, it sure puts a beautiful roll on the ball. I'm going to wait until 07's are out, and the price drops even further and then I'm going shopping.
