Converting to a Detour to A belly putter.

I am trying to figure out if anything would change if I just added a new longer shaft and turned a detour into a belly putter.

My guess is that the alignment aid of the Detour in relation with the putting stroke of a belly putter would be even more confusing.....The weight of the clubhead/length of the shaft will also be an issue as most of SC's mid putters have a clubhead of 375/385 grams to maintain an appropriate swingweight/balance. Unlike the Futura, I can't see where weight can be added on the Detour...

Ya weight and lie angle were the 2 things that I figured would be the problem.
Maybe I will try it with the Phantom instead.

Not sure if you can add weight on the Phantom but for sure you can on the previous Futura...unless you want to use lead tape!

I ordered a name plate for my Phantom Futura that came with 4 additional plugs that you could add or remove to add more weight.......I'll find the URL of the place I ordered it from and post it in this thread
