    Which Scotty????

O.K. all of you Scotty nuts , If I decide to buy a scotty off of ebay in the next year which one would you suggest to get for my first one. I probably wouldn't spend over 200 dollars used(U.S.) and I would like a more upright model so I can get my eyes over the ball and easily clear my right leg.

What putter do you currently use? And are you happy with its sytle?

    I am guessing a newport, newport2 or Circa 3..

    More info would help

....I use a pro gear original yes,c groove putter(swashbuckler) and I'm very happy with it. Just want to try a scotty, figure that if I don't like it I will sell it to one of you for a sweet discount price

Well I am not sure what model of putter that is.. but if you wants something traditional I would suggest a Newport or Newport 2.. Also the Circa 3 is a Ping Anser style putter. There are a lot of model of Newports.. Oil Can, Gun Blue, Stainless, Pro Platinum, Studio Style (with German Stainless Insert). The Oil cans and gun blues would have a softer feel, but require more maintenance. Also since they have not made these models in over 4 years they are harder to find in good shape and bring higher prices.. The Stainless models are nice. The pro platinum, and studio styles are easy to maintain but have a harder or "clickier" feel to them..

I will post some links to scottys site so you can take a look at these models and see if you like the overall style.

Check those out ironmaster.. See if that model suits your liking.. There are plenty of others as well.. After you decide on a model, then you can decide what material and finish you would like.. Personally the gunblue are awsome.. They require a lot of maintenance but the feel is awsome.

love my circa 3 - a thing of beauty. I regripped it with a tan Winn (leather look) old school grip and that this is smokin now. Great view on the top line as well.
I got a fever. And the only prescription is more golf equipment.

Also if you don't like that neck style.. The newports are also available with a shorter neck (I call it the santafa neck, not sure the proper term). And the Circa 2 has a shorter neck as well.

I am a blade putter and love my Studio Design 1, and my dream putter is a gun blue Napa.

Thanks for the input, it looks like I'll be looking for a short necked version with an upright lie.

I really like the PP Sonoma 2. I"ve tried a few including a mallet. Really like it.
