    Cut the shaft or reshaft

I just got a nice 1st run of 500 SS newport 2.5 that I want to game. Problem is that it is 35" and I play a 32 3/4" putter shaft.

Should I cut the shaft and regrip or just put a new shaft in the head and save the original?

If a reshaft is the way to go, any thoughts on types of shafts and where to go to get the work done.

    Thanks

Unfortunately I don't reshaft myself, but I would be open to a swap

Sorry Haker, I jumped on that to soon. My shaft is missing the shaftband. Im sure you'd want that on there. If yours is missing for some reason I'm in for a swap, but then you might as well cut yours.

I just cut down my 2 gamers to 33". OTR putters, so not too worried about resale. If you have something more rare, I would definitely reshaft. Golfworks on Industrial will be happy to do the work. They advertise here on the board.
