Graman Shafts, Anyone Using One?
Does anyone have any experience using GRAMAN Shafts? The UL540 shaft to be exact.
I came across these shafts while doing some research into a shaft for that Adams head I have. Price is decent at $51 US, specs seem good. I would just like to hear from an actual user to get your thoughts. I have read some reviews from other forums, but would like to hear it from this forum!
I would be looking at an R Flex. So I am wondering if anyone can compare that flex to other shafts of the same flex.
Thanks
Rick
PS If you have not seen a Graman UL 540 they flat out HOT!
I always thought I would want an Aldila Pink, but not after seeing this colour!
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Rick, I had one (UL 540 s-flex). Check out my review here:

OK Thanks Geoff
I have found a place in FL that has the UL Series listd at $51 US. I found a place in Canada that lists the same shaft at $134 Cnd. Not too hard to figure out where mine will come from if I buy one! I have a buddy in FL I can ship it to, he can bring it back when he is done playing golf down there this spring. My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I built some clubs for one of my Long Drive customers from Macon Ga. he had the Garman shaft. Using a freq. meter I found it to frequency a little higher that other R Flex shafts I have frequencyed. It is probably because the torque is a little tight. Probably would need a little higher swing speed to load and unload this particular shaft, maybe about 95 mph. All this being said, I think it is a great shaft.

I have the 540 Limey and played it for most of last year in my gamer (X flex). It is the most accurate shaft I have ever used. For me it launches a bit high (everything does) and could use less spin however I have this issue with everything. It actually plays very similar to the Proforce V2, a bit longer but with much better feel. It feels very crisp and actually will make your clubhead louder (and not just in looks with its flourescent yellow paint!). Its a great shaft, by far the best bang for the buck. Check out Pheonix Golf Warehouse (or Works one or the other) I believe the have them for $43 US. Great shaft...you couldn't possibly be disappointed. Oh yeah...they do not play stiff however then can withstand just about any swing speed so err on the side of a softer flex and you won't have any issues if you swing a bit harder than is intended...you will notice that there is not swing speed ratings for this reason.

The price on these shafts vary quite a bit from dealer to dealer. In Canada it is priced at $134 plus tax and shipping.
In the US I have come across prices from $45.25 up to the dealer you list at $59 and one at $65. Plus shipping
The dealer at $45.25 is LIMEY
I can have it shipped to a friend who is wintering in Florida for a total of $58.75 US.
I am pretty sure this is the shaft I will put in the RPM. I am no Shaft Guru, but the specs look pretty good on this shaft, I have read some + reviews on it. Plus I love the colour! Now I will need to find a really funky looking grip!My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

I liked the feel and dispersion of the Limey, but I usually play reg flex and it was a bit whippy. I switched to the stiff flex and it was a perfect fit.

Just to dig this up, got a Limey UL540 in a R7 HT head and it's just as good as I remember it to be. Not sure this set up is as good as the R5 TP/Limey set up I once had, but it's pretty close.
No questions asked, this shaft is one of, if not the, best bang for your buck around."A life lived in fear of the new and the untried is not a life lived to its fullest." M.Pare 10/09/08
