Does "Richard" actually exist and is a living breathing person?

OR

Is "Richard" a cleverly designed alter ego of Dan?

This is my conspricy theory.

Dan needed more web traffic, so him and the moderators got together to boost discussions on the forum. There solution was "Thotho" or now known as "Richard". The main features of the "Richard" are that anything that comes to mind will start a new thread and has many quirky friends and golf partners, which results in many weird and crazy stories that entertain the real posters on the forum.

Dan has known from the start that he would need co-conspirators in order to keep the ruse alive, some of these include: the moderators, indio and bugsy, and there are more (you know who you are).

Other things:
- "Richard" said he would attend the OG forum golf day - and then backed out closer to the day.
- "Richard" has not beaten Dan in match play - Dan did not want to make an alter ego better than the actual ego.
- The pictures from the informal get together at Bent Grass on Dec 27th convieniently has "Richard" behind the camera. Dan has also expanded the deception to include the so called existence of a sister (whom we have heard about twice). Who again convieniently deleted all but 6 or so photos ... most likely all the ones with Dan in them.
- The only footage we have of "Richard" is of two guys dancing in a vinyard ... and it was pretty grainy.

I am sure there are other things that I am forgetting (please add if you like).

I have actually played a round of golf with "Dick" so unless Dan is paying somebody, I say he exists.

so basically when dan and I (also dan) played our three rounds... he was acutally just playing with just mike pare. MIke did look a little confused when dan would just stand there when no one was on the tee box and after a few seconds would say nice tee shot!!! Mike also looked confused when dan turned to him and said "mike, what did you have there" then looked back and said, "what about you richard?"

FInally when dan collected on his bet he held out his hand and said "five, ten, fifteen" then shook hands with the air and said "pleasure doing business with you" and walked off. That would also explain why mike didn't play with him again for any of the other matches! Old man is going crazy
