Help!!!!! I just tried a new putter a friend of mine just purchased and I was sinking way more putts from 45 foot than my trusty C-groove. Even when I missed the groupings were very small (less than a foot). Has anyone ever heard of a Aserta putter, they look like a upside down putter head with a wickedly bent neck. This one was 34 inches long and now I'm debateing on getting one. Has anybody any feedback on this putter cause it's not at all expensive to buy and I was putting like Ben Crenshaw with it

Suprise, suprise, I've heard of them Frank. The reason for the upside down head is to move weight above the equator of the ball. Their reasoning is, that weight and centre of gravity above the equator gives a truer and immediate forward roll with less bouncing and skidding. I can nor confirm or deny these claims as I've never putted with one. But the Guerin line of putters claim the same thing, but with a grooved faced as opposed to an upside down design.

I'm a golfer with a weak will so I ordered one. I will give it a true workout when I get it. All I know is that I made 3 long putts with it and left 3 within a foot of the hole and my buddy wouldn't part with the club . I had never even heard of the putter before but I'm really interested in it now. Watching my buddy use the club while we were playing, from the back of the club it reminded me of the tripods in the original movie War of the worlds, it looks like wings coming out on either side of the putter, very strange but kind of neat looking. But no matter it really rolls the ball well.

And you had to find this out now, and not before we went to Belleville???? We would've been 4 and 0 then.

    putter

using a Ping Ugl-e and it works - at least it did in the store. Putting is all about confidence as far as I'm concerned (means I can't blame a lack of skill or talent! ). I also have a Ping Anser and a custom belly putter that I find really good within 4 feet - I'm thinking of dumping a mid-iron and carrying 2 putters - one for lags and one for close up.... Anybody else do this?

No, but I have thought of it before until I got my Nickent Pipe. Simply the best putter for directional control I've ever used.

I have been using my TaylorMade Fontana lately. Put a new grip on this week and had 24 putts for 18 holes today. I was -2 after 4, and after the first 5 holes I had 5 putts Total of 12 putts on the front side and 12 on the back for a 73 on a cold windy morning.
I think this putter is staying in the bag for the rest of this year. I have had it in there for over a month now and I can't see it being replaced by my TracyII.
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

Owing and using are two very different things

I have lots of clubs that I own for no purpose other than having trade bait for something that I really want

Hell-of-a good attempt at a slam though

I was using the Ping Craz-e last year however, thanks to the clublink golf sale I picked up a scotty for a decent price. So I will be giving it a go this year...hopefully it guides the ball into the hole a little better than the Ping.
