I love my Scotties. I have a:
Newport Tei3
Newport Beach
Phantom Mallet 2
Although i am a devout Scotty lover, The new Ping Redwood Anser is a beauty!! I have also found love for the Nike Black Oz, the one Wie uses!!! I have no idea why, i know its one of the ugliest putters, but everytime i try it i just love the roll.

Well, I can't change my vote, but I've got a Scotty on the way. The wait is already killing me, and its only been an hour.

It can't hurt. My putting certainly can't get worse. Besides, that's why I'm staying out here....too many bad memories in Ottawa.

Hell, you'll probably take enough money off me in a couple of games to cover the cost of the trip.

I have an old Callaway blade (traded my sister a hat for it over 25 years ago) for very fast greens and one other no-name heavyweight (paid about $60) that I use for other conditions. They work just fine.

Does using a Scotty make you a better Putter? That would be an interresting question.

honestly, I haven't been out to the course since the fall. But I can tell you that it's definitely better than golfing in Ottawa this time of year. It won't be as good this year as it has been others, simply because of all the wacky weather we got in December (some of the courses actually had to CLOSE for a few days), but spring has begun out here and the courses should be drying up.
I should be getting out for a few games in the near future though. My folks are visiting, which means they can chauffeur me around in their rental car, and probably even fund a few green fees . That way you can get your free golf, and I can still get mine.

No.
Well, sort of. If holding a Scotty makes you more confident over the ball, which for many people it probably does, then it will improve your putting. But, in terms of the putter actually affecting the ballflight (or path, or whatever you call it for a putt), I doubt it makes any real difference.
