Need Advice....
so guys I am in need of some help, i have a dilema...
i currently am the proud papa of 6 stunning Scotty Cameron OTR models.
though i am looking to step up my adiction to the next level. there is a gorgeous CT Newport that i want but dont have $1300+ for it... so i was thinking about selling off my collection all with the exception of my newly aquired TeI3... i figure the 5 that i want to sell are worth a combined 850 thats if i get what i want for them...
do you think it is worth it to sell them and put the money towards the CT? or save up during the summer for it?
I'm affraid of a CT Newport standing alone in a group of OTRs and hogging all the attention...
i know this is retarded, but im just thinking outloud here

Bieing a starving student prolly better priorities..
That said in my university career I could of bought TONES of scotty cameron's if it didn't go elsewhere like living hard and shortening life expectancy.
That being said.
*IF* you have the power to keep the CT and NEVER game it. I'd say yeah it has a better appreciation over time compared to your normal models hands down.
But can ya do that? I mean NEVER USE IT then buy it as an investment.... Just realize it's an investment and not a putter that will help you lower your score coz if you do use it well... If your Saving for it I doubt your at an income level where gaming a 1700$ putter is a rational thought

You better game a tour scotty, those things weren't made to hang on the wall. A lot of deals out there on regular ole tour putters these days, everyone is hot for the 009. The OTR putters aren't worthy of collecting for investment, only if you really, really like them. If you're blah on them, consolodate and spring for the ct, you'll appreciate it more.

You only live once.. go for it...you're young... when you're older and settled down it'll be a nice grad present for one of your kids
Some people are like Slinkies... they're really good for nothing, ... but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

They don't really depreciate too much with use, unless they're really beat up. In fact, since they're 'tour' putters, most of the ones in circulation have been used by the various original owners (pros). The 009s are a bit different as they're 'made for the tour' but are released to the buying public in brand new condition by his four distributors (3 in the US, 1 in Japan). They start at about $2500US these days, maybe $2000 for a plain jane used one.

Hey....what's wrong with KD? Throw in a little tuna, some frozen veggies, a little hot sauce, and maybe even a couple mushrooms, and you have a true feast
