Smartstat from Hydro One
Hi All,
Has anyone heard of this program? If so, can they offer any more detail than the site? http://hydroone.apogee.net/smartstat/
I got the info in the mail and wonder f its a good program or not? Anyone know what the thermostat looks like? Is it big and bulky and will it look awful on my wall or is it small and compact for example? Before I opt in, or say no, I'd like advice/opinions.
Thanks all. Positive & negative welcome. If you work for Hydro and have good info even better & if you want to PM thats fine too.Lots of yoga pants these days, not enough Yoga!

The program is availabe in Ottawa and is known as "PeakSaver" and we had one installed in November. It is your typical Honeywell digital thermostat that they are able to control remotely. During periods of high power consumption such as a heat wave, they are able to bump up your thermostat a few degrees to reduce consumption.
You are ever able to control your heat via the Internet in the same fasion.
