To change or not to change

I recently acquired a Big Bertha 454 at a really good price, the club came with a Senior Flex shaft. I'm able to hit without slicing about 240 yds. My old driver had a Regular flex shaft and I got about the same distance 235/40. Am tempted to change the shaft to a Regular Flex. NOW????? would you change the shaft and if so what if any benefit might come of it.

Now before the regulars chime in with their is no such thing an "A", "R" or "S" flex I'll offer my advice. A good buddy of mine went to a very weak/soft flexed shaft. It did miracles for him. It allowed him to make a very even tempoed swing, kept him in balance and provided great clubface/ball contact. His problem with stepping up to a stiffer flexed shaft was that he would almost create a reverse pivot trying to speed up his swing thinking he had to swing harder to get maximum performance out of the stiffer shaft. Sooooooooo, if it works I'd say stay with it. Why switch/change it if it ain't broken?

Why change the shaft? 240, no slice, leave well enough alone.
If it mentally bothers you that you are swinging a driver with an A Flex shaft, take a black Sharpie and black out the A
My opinions are my own, I do not follow others.

It's probably an "R" anyway as most labels are incorrectly marked.

    Getting A X Flex

If you decide to get a X flex , take time out to try them out in your local golf outlet . You need not change your swing speed or style . Just be normal and you will find a little extra in the distance and placement of your golf ball . I suggest trying either the Mitsubishi Diamana or Fujikura Speeder . Go for the lower Shaft weight like 55 or 60 .

    Good Luck

I would sign a contract right now for 240 yards down the middle, no more, no less.
