12.8 as of today. actually, i don't think its strayed from there for a few years now....not enough time to play to make it lower.

You shouldn't be counting these rounds anyway. The season ends Oct.31 as far as handicapping goes.

Depends on whether you believe in the GAO (Oct 31) or Golf Quebec (Nov 30).

Have a Handicap of 20, figured out for me by the golf course I shoot regularily. I know the Slope of our course is 109 and the Rating is 65.0, but I have no idea how they figure it out. Can anyone help me with a formula.

This year it's gonna drop like a stone. Everytime I got my ducks in a row I'd pull my back, or have to change drivers, or get messed up with ball position etc...

I've stopped worrying about how far up the ball is, I used to play everything pretty far back, so I've improved on that, but I'm not gonna sweat it anymore if my ball is back a bit farther than most, baby steps. I've also unified my swing, so it's not like, one swing for driver, one swing for irons.

Got a driver and 3 wood and putter I like in the bag... Nothing but green lights baby!

Should be higher than in august for sure. Would say 10 if in peak season and 11-12 in off season.

Got it to +1.2 at one point
Got it to 2.3 at another.
    Now at 0.2.

Just when I thought, "I got it," it slipped away. Why does it slip away so quickly and come back so slowly? Stupid game.

Short game, and putting at your level.

Still, 0.2 is great golfing! Go for the LQR for the U.S. Open, and the Canadian Open!

    Cheers!

After the stinkfest that was April, May, and June, I managed to get mine down to 7.8 at the end of the season.

No handicap for many years....I shot 44 for 9 holes this summer, then 108 for 18 holes, then 51 for nine holes. That's all the golf I have played in the past two years.

.........I thought I might drive out there and drag your butt to the nearest golf course next spring but I checked out where you live in relation to Pittsburgh Pa. and Wow!!! that would be a drive so scratch that thought

My handicap? Too high for my liking at 7.8. Then again I had a wee health issue which seemed to have an adverse effect on my index!

If I had put all my November rounds in then I think I woujld be around 7. However most of those rounds were played under lift clean and place rules. So I did not bother to put the scores in.

So next year I have to work hard on lowering it back down to around 6. If I can get it down to that number I will be happy.

Pretty impressive. 63% of the people who have filled out the poll are between 0-10.

when you consider something like only 5% of golfers will ever break 100.... i find this either impressive... or unbelievable

I thought as a across the board average only 10% of golfers shot below 90. Am I wrong or do we have a lot of good golfers on our forum? If so look out TGNs

Oh yeah for sure Harry, Mitchell is on the list. Not sure if the rest of The Darkside will come but I will be there. I might have a chance to retire and cash in on the big cash buyout. If that happens there will be plenty of golf!

These numbers are somewhat skewed statistically since this poll is of a self-selected group.

I.e. golfers who are crazy enough to be reading a golf website in December when it's snowing outside.
