    Habs Fans Help

Me and a buddy are going down to the Bell Centre tomorrow night for the Habs & Flyers. Never really driven downtown there, and I'm not really worried about it or anything, but just wondering if there are any out of towners that have a better way of going in. Whether it be some sort of "Park & Ride" and take some form of mass transit into the station.

Is it worth the effort of doing or should we just drive in and pay for parking. Never been there so any info's appreciated.

    Cheers

The Bell Center is between the Lucien L'allier and Bonaventure metro stations.

From Ottawa your best bet would be to park at/near the Cote Vertu metro station and then take that in.

This assumes that you're not planning on partaking of any of the post game nightlife, in which case parking downtown somewhere is probably a better idea.

You can park right beside the Bell center with quick easy access out after.
Or if you dont mind walking, park on Notre-Dame for free if youre lucky.

Thanks for the advice on this one. I was looking at the metro map and your suggestion was what I had planned to do.

I don't know what traffic is like after a habs game, but taking the metro was perfect.

For furture reference: I usually park at Concordia University. Parking is underground and cheep. There is a metro station across the street. After the game, you'll have easy access to any major road you plan on using to head back home.
