What it cost to golf this year

I paid the Ottawa Golf/RM fee of $149., plus the discount rate for 57 rounds, $1199. Regular greens fees would have cost $2130, saving me $782 or >36%. Good value for the money too, as my handicap went from 24+ to 18.6 (with a low of 15.4) and my scoring average went from 102.2 to 94.7. At that rate I should be shooting par in by age ...58 (2009).
Anyone else take the time to figure out their costs? How do these figures compare to guys with Executive, Corporate or Extra Golf?

Don't forget to factor in the early bird offer still available untill Nov 30th to renewing weekday members. You'll only pay $99 for your membership plus you get your first 2 rounds free in 2007. That will be tough to beat.

For me, it'll cost a fair amount of money

    $600 or so for membership
$200 or so for local Junior tour
$500 or so for American Junior tour
$100 or so for other random rounds not at my home course/other tournaments

This is burning a hole in my pocket... (my parents' pocket luckily lol)

$1400 or so... plus club ho'ing

WHOA!!! Dan, where are you getting that from? I thought it was $199! Two free games??? Is this on your web site, or do you need a secret decoder ring? I thought going to $199 from $249 for 7 days a week was great. Tell me/us more!!!

Update: just checked the web site and none of the above info is there... yet

If you are a weekday member now, you can renew for $99 only untill Nov 30. That includes 2 free rounds. Since you said you paid $149 for your membership that means you are a weekday member. Did you not get the email?

If you are a full member now, you can renew for $199 only untill Nov 30. That also includes 2 free rounds.

These offers were emailed to current members. It's not on the website because its only for renewals.

Due to the limitations imposed on us by a few courses on weekends we are discontinuing the weekday membership, but are grandfathering it for current weekday members.

The 2 free rounds for renewing members offer is over Nov 30. Weekday memberships will no longer be renewed after that date.

The price for a membership will go up to $229 for all Nov 30. It will be at the regular price of $249 Jan 1. Platunum Membersip will be going up $100 to $1450 Jan 1 too.
