TrueTemper shaft lab fitting
Hello,
Does anyone have any insight into what it involves or have had it done?
Is it worth the $40 at GT?
Thanks.Ray

I would give it a big no!! I used to work in an establishment and was trained on it. I found that it rarely gave the right read out, although this is my honest opinion. It told me that i should be in regular shafts in my irons and woods, which i think was way off.

A marketing device for True Temper. It will only recommend True Temper Product. My readings said to use DG300S ! I use RP Superlite "R". These two shafts are like night and day !

Funny
I was just looking at that yesterday and I glad to see it is not worth it. I guess the only way to get "fitted" is to go see someone like Les to adjust your clubs for lie/loft and swing speed, outdoors. Short of getting a fitting at one of the OEM sites for Pros, for we AMs it is probably the best.

Thanks for the replies. Doesn't look like it has any fans.
Out of curiosity, do they just measure swing speed or is it more of a launch monitor?Ray

Without getting to technical, it measures the loading and unloading of the shaft in various positions of your backswing and downswing. I am not disputing the #'s it gives out, but it totally eliminates the FEEL factor in golf. As I mentioned earlier, shaft lab said DG for me. I get terrible feedback from it, I find it to heavy, and I prefer a softer tip. That's what feels good to me and the results are fine. Using a DG will defenitly not improve my iron play. Although I do admit to using DG R300"s in all my wedges but they are tipped to 8I specs. It's a machine with pre recorded data installed, very similar to what a lot low end of launch monitors use. Also, if you are doing this indoors, well most of you know where I stand on that issue.
