A PGA Tour Schedule Minus Tiger's Impact

    Greetings ...

At the Tour Championship, Geoff Ogilvy remarked that without the imapct of Tiger Woods, weekly purses might be closer to $2.5-million instead of the $5 to $8 million that most events offer now.

Check out the 2006 PGA Tour schedule below, with the purses rolled back to 1999 levels (in most cases), then ask yourself --

Would I mind playing the tour as presented below? And with the purses as shown below?

    Code:
Estimated total prize money .................. $132,000,000.00
Average per each official event (46 events) .. $ 2,869,562.21+

    Yup.
Some expensive rounds on that list. A week of free golf at each of those courses would be a dream retirement.

Even though Tiger was ineligible for the Vardon Trophy,
his scoring average supremacy is recognized here.
And that's all -- back to reality
